Do I need building consent to renovate my kitchen?

If your new kitchen design stays within an existing layout, building consent probably won’t be necessary. However, designs which include structural changes, structural additions, additional plumbing or drainage sanitary fixtures; are highly likely to require council consent. If this is the case, your renovation specialist will advise you and take care of the application process on your behalf.
