A modern bathroom makeover in Manawatu

With a bathroom that was in “desperate need of repair”, Manawatu homeowners Sandra and Paul began looking at their home renovation options. While attending their local home show, they came across their local Refresh Renovations team - led by Renovation Specialist Wayne Gordon. They liked what they saw, and began working with Wayne and his team on a new bathroom design. 

A modern bathroom design

Opting for a full interior bathroom update, Sanda and Paul’s new bathroom design focused on a number of priorities:  
“This farmhouse bathroom renovation was designed to tackle the dated layout and some evidence of water damage that needed to be addressed”, explains Wayne. “Our clients wanted to modernise the space to make it more structurally sound and pleasant to use, but also to make it more suitable for them to grow older in.” 
With these aspects in mind: Wayne and his team worked with Sandra and Paul to design an easy-to-clean bathroom with ample storage space, a freestanding bathtub, new shower and an improved layout. 

Installing the new bathroom

With an approved design in place, Wayne and his team ordered the project materials. This included products from Karndean Flooring, Flooring Xtra, Robertsons Bathroomware and Gib. From there, they scheduled in an experienced team of tradespeople to carry out the work over a 5-week period. 
Sandra says she thoroughly enjoyed her renovation experience during this time.
“They kept us fully informed, were easy to get on with and Wayne kept an eye on things.”

Home renovation results

“We really love the freestanding bath and the big 1200 double basin, wall hung vanity”, says Wayne.
“We’re very happy with the final (result),” concludes Sandra. “(We) love the big shower. (We) would be happy to have the team back for the next project!”
