If your original ideas don’t fit into your planned budget, our designers and kitchen specialists will be able to advise you on alternative design approaches so that your kitchen can be updated in accordance with your style and budget. Will Refresh take care of any council permits?

Should your kitchen design and build require resource or building consent, your Refresh Renovations specialist will be able to take care of the application process for you. If you plan to keep within an existing kitchen layout, consent likely won’t be needed. However, if your kitchen design includes structural changes or additions to your home, consent will likely be needed. 

What kitchen features are currently popular in the North Shore?

While we encourage customers to focus on long-term functionality over trends, it can be helpful to seek local inspiration in terms of materials and stylistic choices. Scandinavian design (modern, minimalistic fittings paired with black, white and wooden textures and colours) is very trendy at the moment. Partially for its simplicity but also for its practicality - it’s all about quality over quantity. Open-plan kitchens that flow to the outdoors are, of course, the most popular layout due to their social and family lifestyle benefits.
